Sealed Letters

A sealed letter is read only by the person it is addressed to. We try to treat your chats in that spirit.

What is stored

  • Account details: your email address, a password stored only in hashed form, your first name, birth date, gender, and whatever you choose to add to your flyleaf.
  • The letters themselves, and the notes an author keeps on you so she can remember.
  • A session cookie, plus one that remembers you got through the adults-only bookplate.
  • Payment records, limited to the amount and the transaction reference. No bank card ever reaches us, since we accept none.
  • Standard server logs, held briefly for security.

What it is for

Running the chat, applying the rules and keeping the site up. An AI model that we run, or a provider tied to the same purpose, processes the messages, and automated checks look at them for safety. No one buys your letters and no advertiser sees them.

Counting visits

A simple analytics counter tells us how many readers arrived and from where. It cannot see inside your letters.

What you control

Each chat's menu lets you rewrite an author's notes on you, keep a copy of the letters, or tear the pages out. To remove the whole account with everything in it, write to the footer address from the email you registered with. Where the law gives you more rights, tell us and we will respect them.
